Tikka is the kind of person you feel before you see. The office runs smoother. The little things get done without ever being asked. The team can breathe, install can happen, and the wheels keep turning—because she’s behind the scenes making sure of it.
What she actually does here
“I keep things moving,” she says. And that’s not an understatement. From daily studio logistics to install-day support, Tikka manages the in-between. The glue. The momentum. “The team creates beautiful things—and I help make sure the process doesn’t fall apart while they do.”
When design becomes real
For Tikka, it’s install day. That’s when it all clicks. “You walk into a space that’s been picked apart and planned for months—and suddenly it feels like a home.” Her favorite moment? Watching the furniture settle in, seeing the drapes fall just right, and knowing it’s all about to be frozen in time during the photoshoot.
A project that sticks with her
Project: Bold By Design. “It was the first one I got to see all the way through—install to photoshoot. That house was full of personality. Every space felt like the family who lived there. It made me feel like, okay—this is what we do.”
The truth about her desk
Always: a cup of coffee that’s been reheated (or forgotten). “I start with the best intentions,” she laughs. “And then something else takes over. The coffee’s never warm—but the job gets done.”
Her current vibe
Stretching summer as long as it’ll let her. Skinny iced coconut lattes. “Summer Day” on repeat. Time by the pool or hiking with her puppy. And when she’s not outside? Watching The Big Bang Theory for the 100th time—and not remotely tired of it.
What she loves about Duet
The people. The pulse. The creativity. “It’s a room full of strong, kind, wildly
different women—and somehow it just clicks. Everyone brings something completely different to the table. I feel lucky to be part of that.”
Advice she’d give a client
Trust the process—and don’t forget to enjoy it. “Every single detail has been thought through. What’s being created is probably more beautiful than you imagined.
Let that happen.”
