What I do at Duet Design
I’m a Senior Interior Designer, which means my role flexes depending on the project. Sometimes I’m supporting Devon, and other times I’m leading a project from start to finish and managing the team along the way. No matter the setup, my focus stays the same. Creating a final result that feels cohesive, thoughtful, and truly aligned with how our clients live.
I spend a lot of time selecting finishes and fixtures, making sure every choice supports both function and personality.
What I’m Most Excited About Right Now
Schematic Design. Always. This is where everything starts to click. Materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture. I love the hunt for unique pieces and get genuinely excited about the details. Trim profiles. Sconces. Accent chairs. No matter the style, those are the moments that make a space feel special.
Why Duet Design
What drew me to Duet was how personal the work feels. Every project has its own personality based on the client, the home, and their lifestyle. The designs are cohesive and welcoming, but never cookie-cutter. You can feel how much thought goes into every decision, and that really resonates with how I approach design.
What’s Always on My Desk
A lint brush. Always. I have two white cats that I love more than anything, but they shed like it’s their job. Being prepared is non-negotiable.
What I’m Into Lately
Candy. Specifically fruity, sour candy. Every night after dinner, I need a little something sweet. Gummies are my weakness, and my snack shelf is always stocked.
Design-wise, I’m deep into lamp shades right now. Rattan. Scalloped edges. Embroidery. Tassels. Why have a plain white shade when you can have one with personality?
What I Hope Clients Feel
I hope clients feel how invested I am in their project. No matter the size or style, I get attached and genuinely want it to be the best it can be. I care a lot, and I want that to come through in both the process and the final result.
One Piece of Advice
Push yourself a little. Homes are reflections of the people who live in them. Don’t be afraid to take a risk, even if it’s a small one. That’s usually where the magic happens.
