Meet The Founders
It all began in 2011 in the carriage house behind Devon’s childhood home. With a handful of personal connections and a passion for design the duo set out to create an interior design firm that surpassed their client’s expectations at every turn. Today, Devon and Miranda lead a team dedicated to creating beautiful and functional environments that reflect each client's dreams, desires and needs, while providing impeccable service and transparency throughout the entire process. Their work has been recognized and featured in Luxe Magazine, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles, Reign Magazine, 5280 Home and Denver Life Magazine.
Miranda graduated with honors from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She brings 21 years of experience to the Duet team, with a focus on model home, residential, and commercial projects throughout the United States. As the former owner of MOD Interiors, Miranda has been recognized by a number of builder’s associations with awards for exceptional interior design. She has previously worked for HRI Design here in Denver and CDC Designs out of Southern California.
Devon received her BFA from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied painting and drawing, and also graduated with top honors from the Interior Design program at the Art Institute of Colorado. As a LEED Green Associate, she is certified in sustainable design and is a profess ional member of ASID due to her NCIDQ qualification. She has previously worked for 4240 Architecture here in Denver and Barbara Gisel Design in Philadelphia, and brings over 10 years of experience to the Duet team.
Brought on to ensure Duet’s newest service, Inside Stories, makes an enormous splash in the design world, this South Dakotan native makes no bones about what makes her tick. With over 8 years of design experience, Brandy is a devoted reader of the blog The Little Green Notebook, and listener of the podcast Being Boss. Armed with a devoted appreciation for print, she turns to Dwell and Domino magazine for inspiration, as well as the antique shops on South Broadway, the designer Emily Henderson, and the sleek and clean designs found in European restaurants.

Mornings at Duet always begin with a Devon story, whether it be about her toddler, her family, or an article she read in a business journal. Armed with a contagious sense of energy, passion, and a Little Black Book that is anything but little (Devon knows EVERYONE in Denver) this mother of one (and counting) keeps us on our toes. She found her love for design in the art studios of the University of Colorado, and will admit to dreaming of one day returning to school…….business school, that is. Multiple degrees run in the family.

Kate’s claim to fame that she can outdrive most guys on the golf course is a definite plus for our offices’ bragging rights. The lone “Cornhusker” of the group….yes, Kate hails from the beautiful state of Nebraska, this even-tempered and detail-oriented design associate worked for a high-end residential interior design firm in Aspen before heading down the mountain to Denver. She admits to being obsessed with wallcoverings, the color black, and Kelly Wearstler. She craves mac & cheese, loves to Zumba, and draws her inspiration from the pages of Vogue magazine.
There isn’t a project we design that doesn’t pass through the hands of Kimberly. With a degree in Business Administration and experience in construction management, Kimberly brings our designs to life, ensuring that every detail is ordered, delivered, inspected, and installed. Armed with a quick smile and a “buck stops here” attitude, we owe much of Duet’s success to her! A mother of two girls, this California native will tell you that she is a true Broncos fan, Pinterest obsessed, loves the game of golf, and a self-proclaimed foodie and wine-lover (who isn’t?)
President of the Duet Design Foundation
The office’s queen bee, world traveler, and proud mother of co-principal Devon, Lezlie is the true matriarch of our team. With over 30 years of experience running a high-profile medical practice and years volunteering in the Denver community, Lezlie manages the finances, human resources, and Foundation effortlessly. A mother of four with four grandchildren, Lezlie spends every spare moment with her family and friends, and never misses her weekly Canasta games and monthly mother-daughter book club.
Bringing Lindsay onto the team was a no brainer with her 7 plus years in design. Her experiences range from model homes, healthcare design to high end residential design. She’s a rare Colorado native with multiple degrees from both CU Boulder and the Art Institute of Colorado. Lindsay is a recent mommy to baby Hollyn and is constantly busy on the weekends with her husband – both of whom could give Chip and Joanna a run for their money in the DIY department. When she’s not working on a new project, at work or at home, you’ll find her on the slopes, grabbing a Pinkberry frozen yogurt, or falling in love with every dog she meets.
When Megan walked in our office, there was no mistaking where she was from. The Midwestern accent was a sure give away for this Michigan native. Armed with two degrees in Architectural Technology and Interior Design, two pups, and a mean game of Euchre, Megan remembers signing her house and floor plan drawings when she was young, just in case she became famous. Like many, she moved to Denver from a much colder, cloudier, and crowded place (Chicago), and fell in love with the lifestyle. We are so excited to have her as our newest team member.
Megan is the first smile you see when you visit our office and the cheery voice you hear when you call. She is the scheduler, the gatekeeper, the record keeper, and the gal who makes sure we are nourished throughout the day. A Colorado native, this communications major attended the University of Iowa on a soccer scholarship. A mother of two toddlers, Megan is a true soccer mom, who helps her husband coach, loves Big Ten football (go Hawkeyes) and has become, in a very short time, a cherished member of the Duet team.
Like most Colorado transplants, this mother of two left California nine years ago and never looked back. While admitting to missing the sand, her waterskies, and In and Out Burger, Miranda couldn’t think of a soccer field she’d rather be on than the ones in and around Denver. Winning the height battle by a long shot in our office, and by far the most experienced (21 years) designer, Miranda is the go-to gal in our office for fashion inspiration, and most importantly, a complete recap of what happened that week on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
Short, sweet, and southern, Sarah, Duet’s Design Assistant, packed her life into a Honda Civic and drove across country to pursue her passion for design. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Colorado landscape, (who isn’t?) Sarah is ecstatic to have escaped Florida’s heat and humidity. Sarah spends most of her free time acclimating herself to the altitude by pursuing adventure and exploring the great outdoors. (Say goodbye to sweat, Sarah!) Her spunk, desire to learn, and proclivity to risk taking make her a great addition to the Duet Team. And oh yeah, we love her tattoos.
Kiva has been at Duet since the beginning. Now, at age 10, Kiva spends his days sleeping on his dog bed, going for walks in the neighborhood and being the official greeter for all who visit our office. Whenever there are snacks around, Kiva is first in line and has been known to eat the goodies for client presentations prior to their arrival.
